NEW • Development Release: Parsix GNU/Linux 1.5r0 Test 3 |
| Alan Baghumian has announced the availability of the third test release of Parsix GNU/Linux 1.5, a desktop distribution based on Debian's testing branch: "The third testing version of the brand new release of Parsix GNU/Linux 1.5 (codename 'Viola') is available now. This version is synchronized with Parsix and Debian testing repositories as of June 7, 2008. Several bugs have been solved. Replaced GQview with gThumb image viewer, replaced Camorama with Cheese and re-added Bug-buddy, GDB and IPTraf. Parsix Viola officially supports Compiz Fusion, VirtualBox OSE and GNU Flash player. Highlights: GNOME 2.22.2, X.Org 7.3, Linux kernel 2.6.24.4 with CK patch and CVE-2008-1669 fix, TuxOnIce 3.0-RC7, iwlwifi 1.2.23 with LED support and PowerTOP patches, updated several kernel drivers, OpenOffice.org 2.4.0 and GNU Iceweasel 3.0 Beta 5."
